Q: Do I register my AQHA horse with NFQHA or FQHA?

A: NO! The only registry that the Wisconsin Foundation Quarter Horse Association recognizes is the FQHR, the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry. The FQHR headquarters are in Michigan. Their website is www.fqhr.net They require a 6 generation pedigree downloaded from the AQHA website. If you cannot access it, the FQHR will access it for a $15 fee. They will look at the pedigree and determine if the horse is qualifies for the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry. If so, then the horse owner will receive an FQHR certificate for the horse.
